Message from the Head Teacher
This week, we have completed our pupil voice voting across Years 1 to 6. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities available throughout the school, giving children opportunities to take ownership, contribute to school life and develop their leadership skills.
The candidates for Head Boy and Head Girl demonstrated confidence and maturity in preparing their speeches, which they presented for my consideration.
This helps children develop confidence, communication skills and an understanding of democracy, while encouraging them to take responsibility, work collaboratively and become positive role models for others.
We look forward to sharing the results of the voting and announcing the children’s new roles before half-term.
On Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October, we will be holding our parent consultation meetings. This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher, discuss their progress and ask any questions you may have.
Booking will open at 9am on Sunday 11th October via ParentMail. Please book a ten-minute appointment with your child’s class teacher.
I would also like to bring to your attention that, if your family previously received free school meal vouchers during the school holidays, this provision ended in summer 2026.
As we continue through October, our Black History Month learning continues. The poster below highlights the significant person/people your child will be learning about. You will also receive an email containing a fact file about this person.
Please take some time to read through the facts with your child, ask questions and, if possible, carry out some additional research together to find out more about their life and achievements.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
