Message from the Headteacher
This week we have had an unusual spell of warm weather and our school has been filled with energy and activity both inside and out. The sunshine has brought many learning opportunities outdoors, and it’s been wonderful to see pupils busy in the school garden. From planting flowers and vegetables to learning about nature and sustainability, the children have shown great enthusiasm and teamwork. A special thank you to all our dedicated staff who have supported these sessions—your guidance and encouragement will make our garden a vibrant learning space for all! When you come to pick up your child at the end of the day, please take a moment to enjoy how beautifully our school garden is coming along! Any plant donations from parents would be gratefully welcomed.
At the same time, our Year 6 pupils have been working incredibly hard as they complete their mock tests in preparation for SATs. We are very proud of their focus, resilience, and positive attitude. These practice assessments are an important step in helping them feel confident and ready, and we know they’re giving their best effort each day. A big thank you to the staff supporting them through this process, and to families for helping create calm and encouraging routines at home.
Please remember to send pupils with water bottles, sun hats, and sun cream to help them stay safe and comfortable during these warmer days.
I also remind you that it is a bank holiday weekend, and we will return back to school on Tuesday 6th May.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
