Message from the Head Teacher
We are delighted that work produced by our Year 3 pupils has been selected for display as part of Take One Picture, the National Gallery’s national programme for primary schools. This is a wonderful achievement and a reflection of both the children's creativity and the high-quality teaching of Art and Design Technology across the school. We are incredibly proud that our commitment to the arts has been recognised nationally and that our pupils have had the opportunity to showcase their talents through this prestigious programme.
Next week, we are also excited to welcome Joshua Seigal to Vicar’s Green. Joshua is an award-winning children's poet, performer, and author whose engaging and humorous poetry has inspired young people in schools across the UK and beyond. During his visit, pupils will have the opportunity to experience poetry as a living, creative art form and to explore how words can be used to entertain, express emotions, tell stories, and inspire others. We hope that his visit will encourage a love of reading and writing, raise aspirations, and help children appreciate the important role that poetry plays in our lives and culture.
As usual, the second half of the Summer Term promises to be exceptionally busy and exciting. With performances, trips, celebrations, sporting events, and other key activities ahead, we encourage families to check the diary dates carefully and plan ahead where possible. Your attendance and participation in school events make a tremendous difference to your child's experience, and we look forward to sharing many special moments with you over the coming weeks.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
