Message from the Head Teacher
Before the Easter break, I wrote about the many benefits of children enjoying a nutritious, hot meal each day at school. I am delighted to share that the number of children taking up our free school lunches has increased significantly. It has been wonderful to see pupils trying new foods and making the most of the wide variety of fruits and vegetables available to them each day.
The first round of Reception places for September 2026 have now been allocated. If you have a child of Reception age and have not yet applied for a place, please ensure you do so as soon as possible through your borough’s school admissions portal.
We are also currently accepting applications for our Nursery for September 2026. Both part-time and full-time places are available, so please contact the school office if you would like further information.
As mentioned previously, the school will be closed to all pupils on Thursday 7th May, as the site will be used as a polling station for our local community. All staff will be in school on this day taking part in carefully planned professional development, with a focus on English and, in particular, writing.
Class teachers will set structured homework for pupils to complete on this day. This will include a range of activities across Mathletics, Purple Mash, reading, writing, and a science investigation. All tasks are expected to be completed during the day.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
