On Thursday 27th April, Mr Rasiah and Miss Zezula took the following sports stars to the afternoon Boccia tournament, held at Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls.
Boccia is a Paralympic sport which featured at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and is played regularly at an Ealing inclusive sports club called PACE. Children and staff were delighted that Sunil Birdy (Award-winning Head Coach) and Alex Dukes (Boccia team captain and Intern) were able to join us to promote their club, share their expertise and present the medals at the end of the competitions
Eleven primary schools competed in the afternoon across two leagues. Our children did very well, winning one game, losing one and drawing another in their heats.
Our player of the tournament was Mohammed for excellent aiming and excellent power in his rolls.
Well done to the Boccia team and staff for their hard work!
